Grasses practically thrive on all of the worlds continents, with the exception of Antarctica, and are recognized to rank as one of the most versatile life forms known to mankind. By Definition Literally, grass is generally described as a monocotyledonous green plant that possesses slender leaves, referred to as the blades. Grass typically grows by arching upward from the ground. Botanically speaking, grasses fall under the family of flowering plants, which is termed as Poaceae. Firstly, animals feed on grass. Secondly, man benefits much from them. Grass Species Bahia Grass commonly thrives in the Southeast and is characterized as a tough and coarse type of grass. Bent/Creeping Grass is one kind of perennial grass that is fine and soft in texture and appears to be in a tight-knit turf. This kind of grass is commonly integrated into golf course lawns, particularly in the northern regions. Bermuda Grass is one of the significant lawn grasses.
