Canadian Military Ramps Up Unmanned Aerial Vehicle UAV Roadmap

Author: Lance Winslow

The Canadian Military although a very small military for such a large country is looking more and more at using UAVs to protect themselves in the present period. We have been seeing a lot in the Public Domain and media on the UAV ramp-up in Canada. Some of this is coming from Defense Contractor Press Releases and in the Defense Industry trade journals, websites and on the grape vine. We also see occasional stories in the mainstream media on these things and the future use of unmanned aerial vehicles for our Northern Neighbors.

The smaller markets like Canada and Zimbabwe, with similar size armies of 8,000 or so offer a chance for smaller UAV companies to compete; smaller markets may mean less competition too. But we have also seen some larger companies submitting bids to help the Canadians with their UAV roadmap from many companies, such as Australia, Israel, UK, France and the United States. The Canadian Military rather fancies a couple of the Israeli UAV models. And Canadian officials assure their citizens that homosexual Israeli spies are not behind the bidding process, like some suspected of the Israeli foreign national whose Gay Lover was the Governor of NJ and therefore got appointed as the states homeland security committee chairman.

One person recently asked and pointed out; How does the Canadian Government know that the Israelis are not molding active RFID Tags into the blended materials of the UAVs so they can track the Canadian governments UAV drones and give that information possibly to a future enemy "Red Force?"

If you thought that the conspiracy theories fly in the United States, those Northern Neighbors with their lack of Sun are sure coming up with some wild ones arent they? Never the less, a more wise decision of course would be for Canada to go with the General Atomics Predator or Global Hawks for safety of people on the ground and efficiency in the harsh winter climates. Perhaps the folks at Northrop, Boeing or Lockheed could also deliver more quality units than the Israelis.

Some aerospace analysts say that Canada is being penny wise and pound foolish on their choices for UAVs, but apparently Canada wishes to put politics ahead of the safety of the Canadian People. What does all this mean? Well if all those UAVs fail prior to a third of their useful life, then America is also at risk and we may have to pick up the slack and deal with an attack for what the Canadians lack. You will recall 9-11 when the International Terrorists had meetings and made plans in Canada and then came over our borders from there. Something to think on?
