It's Election Time: Get Out the Vote and Win Big

Author: Ralph King
With the presidential election campaign in full swing, it's that time of year again when Americans are reviewing the issues and choosing our next president.

In the spirit of the election, PartyLite, the leading direct seller of quality candles and accessories, is asking Americans to exercise their right to vote in another way: by choosing their favorite candle fragrance through its "Get Out the Votives" sweepstakes.

One lucky voter will win a trip for two to Hawaii by casting a ballot to elect a favorite votive fragrance. Entrants will be asked to select their favorite fragrance out of three best-selling candidates: Orange Cranberry, Vanilla and Strawberry Rhubarb.

PartyLite's "Get Out the Votives" sweepstakes runs through November 2, 2004, to coincide with the presidential election.

The grand prize winner will receive a four-night trip for two to Hawaii, including airfare, accommodations, and rental car - a prize valued at $4,000. Seventy-five first prize winners will receive a PartyLite candle package which includes some of PartyLite's favorite fragrances.

Decorating Tips From PartyLite

While you're buying your favorite fragrance during the election season, PartyLite encourages Americans to show off their decorating know-how in their own homes.

* Create interest. Pair items of varying widths and

heights and display candles

in odd numbers.

* Use multiple points of

light. Brighten up your

walls using wall sconces to

draw attention to family

photos and wall decor

groupings.

* Apply a splash of color. If

you're shy about color, start

with small accessories such

as a colorful votive holder or a bright candle on your

mantelpiece or shelf.

* Choose a color scheme.

Consider a color scheme

that focuses on a holiday, or

center your color scheme

around a piece of art or

favorite object that you

already own.

To learn more tips and experience over 52 candle fragrances, host or attend a PartyLite show.
