Campgrounds in Michigan

Author: Richard Chapo

While winters can be cold, Michigan has a great outdoors tradition in spring, summer and fall. A great way to experience this tradition is to try out the campgrounds in Michigan.

Campgrounds in Michigan

Michigan is a very popular destination with people looking to get out of town. The state is rife with lakes and rivers, not to mention the extremely popular vacation areas along Lake Huron. Camping in Michigan offers dual possibilities because of its situation as a bi-peninsular state. Campgrounds in both the Lower Peninsula and the Upper Peninsula offer tent space, cabin rentals and facilities for RVs, in addition to the five-mile channel joining Lake Michigan to Lake Huron.

Some hot spots for Michigan include the following campgrounds:

Barefoot's Resort, Cedarville

BerWaGaNa Campground, Vassar

Betsie River Campsite, Frankfort

Big Cedar Campground, Germfask

Bob-A-Ron Campground, Three Oaks

Cadillac Woods Campground, Tustin
